Jlc reverso vintage

Post by Vinwatch » Thu Feb 18, 2021 3:46 pm

Hi.
I recently came across this JLC Reverso which is in. 375 gold and original leather strap wth plated buckle.
The case is in good codition. What puzzles me is the dial. It has single color printing on it. Is it gilt dial? Most reverso I see from 1930-40 have two colour printing on them.
The small seconds dial is not centered properly and second digits are on the slope of the recessed portion of the dial. Can you elaborare on this. Nearly all watches from this period I have seen dont have this anamoly.
Is there a chance that this is a refinished dial.
What would be the price of this watch on as is basis.
Looking forward to your comments.
Thanks.
