Hello all

I would like to have any knowledge you guys can offer on this type of memovox from the 1960s. Looks like the e855 but the bracelet is integrated.

37mm case

84 grams

I have seen a couple in vintage print ads but not much else. Iam not really interested in the value as I just like the watch.

Thanks for your knowledge in advance

Tucker

I'd stay away from that watch (assuming price is significantly above scrap), the dial is poorly refinished, that's a huge hit on its value and I'm not convinced the that ever came with an integrated bracelet. How is the bracelet clasp marked? With a JL symbol? It all looks aftermarket to me.

Hi Zaf,

Here's another one I saw. I didn't pay more than gold but it always breaks the ice when i wear it out.

Here's a picture of the movement. Think it is custom but why lol.

Thanks

OK, the key here is how the bracelet is marked. Does it have the JL logo and Swiss hallmarks? Is it stamped 18k, if so, how, etc. So focus on the bracelet and that will answer your question.

A have can seen 14k US market ones with integrated bracelet (that's what that catalog shot it), but I've never seen a Euro market 18k one.

Sorry Zaf I uploaded the wrong image

Here is a 3151 I think in 18k.

Also there is a .750 stamp and a French makers mark on the clasp but no JL. So I have no dout it is some type of custom deal.

I also attached an 18k that came head only that a bracelet could be added later from a past bonhams aucton. None of this is for the faint of heart lol

But you know the darn thing is such a cool mystery I just love it.

Let me clarify what I meant, I've never seen a Euro Alarm, with a factory integrated bracelet.

If such a thing exists, I'd expect it to carry some factory hallmarks, for SWISS watches. For the French watches, anything is possible, but you'd see an Eagle head hallmark on both the case at the bracelet ... if it exists ... and even then, it would be hard to be sure it's a 'factory' effort as many of the French watches were cased in France.

Thanks Zaf,

To sum it up here's what I think. The case itself was indeed made by the Swiss (Swiss hallmark in case with L tree C mark also) but the bracelet has a French Makers mark on the clasps so diffidently not total factory. I am researching the makers mark now (the fun stuff) The only other one like it that I have seen was sold in Zurich back 2014.

By the way I live in your hood. I work at NIH and when I'am not smashing atom to make radio active Isotopes for medical research I am looking for the odd balls like this one. Just having fun, we are lucky to have someone like you to guide us along.
