2) Model number if known.
3) The case material, Silver, Steel or Gold, etc.
4) Case diameter & overall condition.

Very Rare Bulova 1952 Calendar Watch

Post by tomprobkins » Tue Sep 15, 2015 3:18 pm

This is a very early Bulova Calendar watch. I am told it is the first model and the first ever windowed calendar by a USA manufacture, (proceeded by Rolex in 1945 or so, and many other swiss shops in 1950). The case is RGP and measures 32 x 32.

It is in overall very good condition, and functions as it should.

I can't imagine much value here. It remains a time only Bulova in gold plate.

I don't really follow your response. It is a VERY RARE Bulova first ever Calendar (not time only) watch. And a first among American watch makers in the 1950's. If you are basing your value only on the quality of the metal used, then it isn't really a classic watch value, just a melt down price.

I'm basing my response on what I expect collectors to be interested in. I don't expect collectors to be interested in a round RGP Bulova, even if it is their first windowed calendar, rare or not. Of course I may be wrong and you'll find out soon enough if it's something you're trying to sell.

I just stumbled upon this watch my grandparents gave me to get rid of.
I've been trying to do some research to know more about it's value ect.
Seems like Google or Youtube can't really come up with useful information
....
Any updates please ??
Can we be the only 2 on this planet?

Will it sell for millions :) at auctions ?
