Broken off teardrop lug repair (reattach) - stainless steel case

Post by Sinowatch » Mon Aug 12, 2019 9:39 am

Hi, I am looking for advice on where to have the broken teardrop lug reattach to the stainless steel case. This is a vintage triple date watch.
Does JLC provide this type of service in the US, or one must send it to JLC in Switzerland? Address?
The lug was repaired once, I was not aware of it and bought the watch, during the strap change, the lug was broken off again.
I have talked to a local jeweler and he is offering to try laser weld it back to the case.

Thanks,

JLC will most likely not repair such a thing. Also, the will insist on restoring the rest of it, which will run at least $2500.

Thanks for the reply.
How were these teardrop lugs attached to the case originally?
