Hello there,
I really like this memovox cal814, the serial 1022xxx dated 1954 which make the unsigned crowns look ok as i understood they starting singing the crown in late 50s. But i cannot see any case reference number, should it be on the case back? The cal number 814 is on the movement but doesnt say K814 or P814, i tried to match the watch with some k814 samples from Zaf's book but couldnt, the marking in the case back also has different format so i am not sure if this watch is correct and original, would really appreciate your opinion on the watch and a suggestion on the price range if possible. :D
Cheers

Hi, no it looks OK. The case reference #s were not always stamped on the insides.

Check the apparisal corner, there is a similar watch being discussed there. If you didn't find a ref yet on the vase back, it doesn't have one.

Hi Zaf,
Thanks for your feedback...in your opinion do you think the waYch is relumed or original? Also is it normal for the watch not to have the ref stamped?

Hard to say on the lume without seeing it. As long as it's pleasing the the eye, it doesn't impact value.

Many LeC of that era didn't have case refs on them.
