Hi. My wife's grandfather passed away and left her with 2 vintage LeCoultre men's watches. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help with the dates and approximate values of each.

The first is in a 35mm, 14k gold case. The watch has the cal.480/CW movement and runs, but the sub-seconds hand has come off. The case reads: Cased and timed in USA by LeCoultre,14k.gold, 230C317, 164923. The movement reads: LeCoutre Company, Swiss, Seventeen 17 jewels, Unadjusted, VXN, 480/CW, 1059393.

The second is in a 34mm 10k gold filled case. The watch runs and has a power/wind indicator. I believe it is a cal.481, but am not sure as I could not get the caseback off.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Regards,
Frank A.

This first watch dates to 1954. The second one, probably very close as well. The 481 was made from 1949 to 1959.
