JLC Calendar Disks

Postby kenlmitchell » Sun Nov 06, 2016 10:43 pm

Zaf: In your book, you say that the common unifying feature of the JLC Calendar Disk watches is the gold or steel applied pointer on the inner dial. I have what appears to be an original watch, and the 810/AW movement with a serial number of 987894 dates it to 1953. As you can see, mine has a blue painted pointer...and I have seen a couple of others on the internet that also have blue pointers. The Complete Guide To Watches shows this watch to have what appears to be a painted pointer, although the picture is not in color. Can you clear this up for me? Thanks much.

I think a blue painted calendar pointer is OK.
