Frankenmatic?

Postby Democritus » Fri May 22, 2015 6:41 am

I've recently come into possession of a futurematic (European signed JLC) with the gas gauge subdials. Inside is a 817/1 signed movement! I thought this was reserved for the porthole versions. Was this movement ever used inside the gas gauge version or has someone used parts from an 817 to fix up a 497?

The rotors are interchangeable, so yes, sounds like a Franken. 817 should be porthole.
