Here we go, this is the starting point. I'm fairly sure this is a biohazard!

This is how it came in. Severe chips on the crystal, dial out of rotation.

Case back clean up has begun. It had to be completely taken apart to get it clean. Note, more pieces are involved than meets the eye!

The original crystal was heavily chipped. So I shaved a very small amount off the edges.

Progressively finer grit polishing and nearly an hour later...presto! Not a bad result!
