JLC cal 900 automatic

Hi Zaf,
I have a JLC cal 900 automatic. I would like to know how many jewels this movement had and the time frame of manufacture of this particular calibre please if anyone has this info. Also I don't know if there is a problem with the movement as when the crown is fully pushed in it moves the date on by one day by winding the crown one turn clockwise. When the crown is pulled out to the first position this sets the hands. When the crown is pulled out to the second position the date moves again but more slowly (2 rotations). The question is that there is no position for winding the watch. I have known some Seikos to be like this but a JLC?
Any help would be appreciated.
regards,
Greg.

Hi, Greg, honestly, I don't know. It's not a watch I have ever owned. This is the ultra thin from the 1980s?

Hi Zaf,
Firstly I am sorry but I got the caliber wrong. It is a cal 901 auto so that may help. I also think it might be 80's. I have now got a pic of the movement. It is in an 18k case which is quite thin.
Regards,
Greg.

Honestly I don't know! I don't have a similar watch in my collection to test. Perhaps another forum participant has one of the earlier ultra thins can answer your question.

Hello, this is my first post. I bought a JLC UT at Schiphol Airport in 1977 for $660. It is a calber 901, 28 jewel, auto, with date at 3. Still wear it daily. Sorry about the image of the movement, but when he walked over holding this in his hand, I started shaking.
