Need your opinion: Memovox

Postby Parking » Mon Mar 16, 2015 5:27 am

Hello everybody,
I recently found this Lecoultre Memovox, which is for sale for 1'400€, and I am very tempted to buy it :-)
However, I never saw this kind of hands before and wonder whether they are original? Same thing for the Memovox disc.
The case seems to be crisp, perhaps even unpolished, but I am not sure about that.
Th back of the case says "Cased and timed in USA by Lecoultre. Star Watch case Co". Is there some way to date this watch?
The crowns are the "LeC" ones, I really like them.
The movement is a K(if)814.
What do you think about this watch? All original? Dial OK? Is it worth the money?
Any advice is appreciated.
Many thanks

It looks OK to me. It's a U.S. market watch. It can be dated if you have the movement serial number, probably around 1962 or so.

Price sounds a little expensive for a US market one.

I need the movement serial number to date it, not the case #.

It can't possibly start with a "4", so assuming it is a "1", the watch dates to 1961-62.
