Re: Movado 6B/159 serial numbers?

Here is a reference for determining the approximate date of vintage Movado watches by reference number. https://movadolookup.wordpress.com/ I have to warn you that it is not easy to follow. First, you have to use the first set of tables to determine which calibers go with the case reference number. ...

Re: Help identify name and year of watch

The numbers on the inside of the case back are actually a Universal case serial number and the model number. The serial number puts the case as made in 1946 to 1949: http://people.timezone.com/pauld/tzpics/UGserial_list.gif The other number is the model number of the watch, which may be unique to Le...

Re: Correct buckle/strap for 68 Memovox

It is possible that it originally had an 18mm X 13mm strap and buckle like that. It could have also had other combinations. It is impossible to tell without more information, such as a catalog entry, or production date from the factory. What you have there is a gold-plated LeCoultre buckle from the ...

Re: Help with this Le coultre

I think the guilloche engraving on the dial is original, but the printing on the dial has been redone.

It is a 18K gold case, which is unusual for a US market LeCoultre.

Value is gold melt, plus a bit for the movement. I would not consider this watch a collector's item.

Re: Questions on parts for a Gubelin Ipso-Vox

Thanks Zaf, that's kind of what I thought.

Is there anyplace I can look to get the dimensions of the crowns?

I'd like to find a matched pair of unsigned replacements.

Questions on parts for a Gubelin Ipso-Vox

I've recently purchased a JLC/Gubelin Ipso-Vox Parking model: http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y266/gatorcpa/Watch%20Photos/Gubelin%20Ipso%20Vox%20Parking%20Dial/85EF341F-1968-4537-BCA9-0A9B8858E6B8_zpshtylqmcw.jpg This is a manual-wind cal. 814 version, so I think that the case reference is equival...
