Re: Memovox E875 - acrylic glass replacement
Next one that comes in for repair, I will note what our shop used for the crystal.

Re: Memovox E875 - acrylic glass replacement
How do you know it's an original crystal is more my question. In my opinion, there is no way to tell, so best not to worry about it. If it clears the hands you are likely to have the right crystal profile anyway.

Re: 1934 Le Coultre Uniplan (US)
Looks like a Swiss-made Longines case.

Re: Recommended Vintage JLC Movements
The majority of the chronos are made by Universal Geneve and a few by Valjoux. They are not JLC brand-specific.
The caliber P478 or any of the caliber 450 based family is quite nice too and can be found at a much lower price point than the Geo and Mk 11.

Re: 1934 Le Coultre Uniplan (US)
I'm pretty sure it's a Longines with a dial that has been refinished as a LeCoultre. Even for LeCoultre at the time, this would be very unusual.

Re: Recommended Vintage JLC Movements
The movement found in the vintage Geopysic (P478/BWSBr) and the Mark 11 (488 Sbr) are probably the best.

Re: Futurematic dial styles
Yes with a non-lume model or it has fallen off. On the top example, you can still see signs of the lume. They were either dipped in lume at their tips or had conventionally filled dauphine hands.

Re: Club Day Date
I'll need a movement photo, but these are typically NOT in-house movements. The serious JLC collectors do not regard them that highly because of that.
