Re: Bulova Chrono
It looks authentic to me. I remember seeing things of this sort in the 1990s/early 2000. They were sort of a less expensive line, given that they were gold filled/gold plated. I don't think it will ever be collectible, so right now, given the wear that I'm seeing on some of the plating, best not to ...

Re: Jaeger cal. 285 18ct 'hunter case'
Good looking watch. The caliber 285 is actually made by Universal Genève, not that rare. But you're right the black dial and hinged case is pretty unusual.

Re: LeCoultre Watch, Looking for Background
Hi, it's a "mystery dial" watch from the late 1950s made for the American market. It belongs to a series of watches that are named after celestial things. I think this particular model is called the "Saturn".

Restoring a Jaeger-LeCoultre Mark 11
It is becoming increasingly obvious, that collectors - and I include myself in this group - are preferring original condition watches with original paint dials and unpolished cases. There are however instances, where it is justified to cosmetically restore a watch. My goal here is to provide an exam...

Re: Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox dial with no branded-logo(?)
Hi David,
I'm pretty sure that dial should have some print on it. In fact it's likely to be a European model and branded as a Jaeger-LeCoultre.
When you get it, see if there is any print at all on the dial and let me know,
Thanks,
Zaf
