Re: serial numner of Jaeger LeCoultre Memovox
If it says "P" it indicates "Plaque" which is gold plate. 1400 E is too high in my opinion. It would be OK for a 14k or steel one.

Re: serial numner of Jaeger LeCoultre Memovox
What are the markings on the case back? Is that a number with a "P"?

Re: ID an 'unsual' watch/works
At some point, around 1930, Rolex & Gruen shared a same or similar movement for their "Doctor's" style watches, like the Rolex Price. If you google
"Rolex and Gruen" you'll come up with additional info.

It really depends what your plan is and how much time you want to spend on it.
Are you selling it as one lot, do you want to break it up by brand, etc. The more time you put into it the more it will fetch, but time is money!

Re: Please help verifying model number
From the looks of it, it does appear to be case reference 9034.
What numbers are on the back of the case?

Re: vintage Jaeger-leCoultre watch!
The more I look at it, I think it has been re-cased. If you look at the dial, there are 2 small screws at 12:00 and 6:00. These should normally not be visible. So the original case had more of a bezel (covering the screws) than that of the case it is currently in.

Re: vintage Jaeger-leCoultre watch!
The watch, or at least its movement, dates to approximately 1945. I suspect it was cased later.
The case itself, is not made by JLC, why that is, is unclear. Maybe to keep costs down, they used a third party case made locally.

Re: Bulova Chrono
It's a common workhorse movement. It's found in a lot of watches. It's probably worth $200-250 just by itself.

Re: vintage Jaeger-leCoultre watch!
This appears to be a watch that was given as a 25 year employment anniversary. It dates from the late 1950s. It's very unusual for JLC to state the gold carat like that on the back in that way, so I'd be curious to see the inside of the case back. If you provide that, please also provide a movement ...
