Re: Need help with Jaeger Lecoultre watch

Sorry your account was deleted by mistake. We had to do some spam clean up.

Regarding the watch, I don't have any specific info re: the model name, it possibly one of the second gen ultra things circa 1968 or so.

With a movement serial I can date it.

Re: Help with informations on thisJLC Geophysic Chronometer watch

Do not remove the seal. I'd wait for someone that is knowledgeable to handle this. If you'd like, email me to info@classicwatch.com and I can put you in contact with someone in France that is a specialist and won't take advantage of you.

Re: Help with informations on thisJLC Geophysic Chronometer watch

The Eagle head will be on the outside back, maybe under the seal and on the side.

It's a fairly valuable watch, so do you research! i.e. don't send it to some random French watchmaker.

Re: Help with informations on thisJLC Geophysic Chronometer watch

This looks like a Geophysic made for the French market with a French made case. French made cases will have a small "Eagle head" hallmark stamped on the case somewhere. The value is less than a Swiss case, but still, it's a nice watch. If you are in France, and would like I can put you in contact wi...

Check for a lug repair. Very common with this model.

In my view, that case has been replated.

Agreed, the lume plots can be fixed, but I'd just leave it like it is.

Re: JLC Memovox K855 Dial concerns?

That looks like poor watchmaking to me, i.e. someone lifted the dial from there and damaged it.
