Re: Geomatic hands

I actually located and purchased a pair of JLC silver lume hands from the period that fit k811/k883 and S/G variants! They are arriving soon. However, the minute hand is only 12mm long. I believe the minute hand needs to be about 13.5 mm long to meet the minute track and be the same length as the se...

Re: Geomatic hands

This is on the MM or Geomatic? The Geo should be either a K881G or a K883G. The movement should hack set. Does yours hack set? I've never seen a Z883 on a geomatic, though anything is possible I guess! Hi Zaf, Sorry for the confusion. Both movement pictures I have posted in this thread are of the M...

Re: Geomatic hands

It's K! I'd be shocked if it's a Z. K stands for Kif shock protection. The hands of your MM will fit, I don't know if they're long enough though, you have to try,\ Thanks, Zaf. Below is a picture showing "Z883." The balance has kif shock protection, but it still says "z." I tried to research this "...

Re: Geomatic hands

Here is a Master Mariner I own. Is this a K 883? The movement says "Z 883." Would these hands work as donors for the Geomatic? The case on this Master Mariner is about 33mm without the crown. I think the minute hand would be too short to reach the minute track of the Geomatic dial. Any opinions? I'm...

Re: Geomatic hands

Thanks for this. It looks like it will be quite an expense either way to get those hands, unless I use a watch I already own. :(

Re: Geomatic hands

Yes, not correct. The cal 881/883 hands will fit and I'm pretty sure some no Geo dress watches have the same. I think for around 2500 Euro you'd get the service the hands and a dial. Question is, do they have an original dial? That I can't answer. If you have to go on the cheap, keep watching ebay,...

Re: Geomatic hands

Hi Zaf,

Thanks for your kind reply. I have attached an image of the Geomatic. I think the hands are not original. The style and length are incorrect. The lume is bright.

Geomatic hands

Hi, Thanks to Zaf for making this forum available. I recently acquired a JLC Stainless Steel Geomatic. I am certain that the hour and minute hands are not original. There is also a small age spot on the dial at the 2 o'clock position. Otherwise, the watch is really nice. I inquired with local watchm...
