Re: Restoration of a 1968 LeCoultre Polaris Alarm

Is that the one out of California with the jacked up dial? I have referred several Polaris owners to your shop, so you can apologize to John on my behalf!

Correct Box for 1968 Polaris?

I found a period box for my Polaris, but I can't find any reference to the original packaging. I have not purchased the box yet - I'm looking to the experts to tell me if I found the right one. Here is a picture of my Polaris in the box. Is this the correct box for the watch? Thanks.

Re: 1968 JLC Polaris Parts Availability

Thanks Gator. These parts seem nearly impossible to find! I may end up seeing if Zaf can do a complete overhaul.

Re: E-859 Genuine or Fake

In the context of a complete overhaul - how much could I expect to pay you for that?

1968 JLC Polaris Parts Availability

Ok. So I've got a likely legit Polaris with some questionable history. Unfortunately, I don't know the original owner so I can't find out how it got it's odd characteristics. What I do need is parts. My watchmaker has it at the moment but he doesn't want to tear into it until we confirm the availabi...

Re: E-859 Genuine or Fake

Hi Zaf, thanks for the response. I've come across your name (and book) quite a bit in this JLC journey that I'm on! The mismatched signatures bothered me as well, but I didn't notice the "stainless steel" stamp until you pointed it out. Two questions: 1) The case back has "V1073" hand engraved. Coul...

E-859 Genuine or Fake

Hello all, I've come into what appears to be a 1968 E-859. I'm not familiar with JLC watches, can anyone identify this as genuine or not? Thanks for your help. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/2NwKq9V4Pdbr_ZM7BKx6US32hblENPfPvS6hCWDdBtvE=w1319-h989-no https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/buuQFyAWjninz...
