Re: Is this Memovox ref. 855 real?

It is real, the model would typically have signed crowns. If you feel a bumper automatic it's a cal 825.

Re: Help with a Jaeger calendar

I'm pretty confident that dial has been refinished, but hard to say 100% with the photos being a little blurry. Typically, on the 1-31 of the calendar, the 6 and 9 are open, not closed. The tick marks on the sub seconds are not that heavy. It's a good job though, just some details appear to be off.

Re: Rare European steel Futurematic - should I restore the dial?

The 500 figure is not accurate. It's much higher than that. Probably closer to 3-4000.

The watch would probably worth less with a restored dial.

Re: JLC Snowdrop Redial/Relume

Seems to be an original dial. I don't know about the lume from the photos. Hard to tell.

Re: Jardur project

It will never fetch top dollar with a poor dial or a refinished dial, so I'm not sure I would put down too much money to restore it.

As it is, it's probably worth around $700 for parts.

Good chance that is a refinish.

Re: Adams Chronograph

I don't know anything about Adams, so it's probably sort of generic. The value of the watch will be based on who made its movement. So if you could post a photo of that or have a watchmaker identify it for you...

Re: Futurematic hands

Those are the correct hands for that model.
