I'm pretty sure it's all steel. I think what happened is they repaired the case back (which is steel and it is marked as steel) and they applied so much heat that it discolored the back. After that, they flash plated the whole case in copper and then rhodium to mask the discoloration of the metal. A...

JLC will most likely not repair such a thing. Also, the will insist on restoring the rest of it, which will run at least $2500.

Unfortunately the vast majority of parts houses will not have hands. Your best bet is to find a watch in poor condition that has the same hands.

No they left together, just in Europe the model came out after the US. I wouldn't worry too much about when a watch was made, since it could easily take 1-2 years after the movement was made for it to be cased in a watch. Value, sort of depends on the dial in your case, maybe high $2000s more obviou...
